School is Back in Session

Well, now, I, Bailey, am a high school student! I have made it past primary education (I think...). My classes are cool, no teachers that are scary. First period is english, then french. The kids in french can't speak worth a crap! Its hilarious! There are a few who can say most of the stuff, but the majority... not so much.
Imaginary Conversation:
Teacher- "Comment t'appelles tu?
Student-"..."
Teacher-"..."
Student-"Uh... Treize."
Teacher-"..."

Translation:
Teacher-"What is your name?"
Student-"..."
Teacher-"..."
Student-"Uh.. 13."
Teacher-"..."

Not a good situation. After french is band. My section is kind of intimidating. I'm the only freshman and the only girl. They don't talk much at all. Then math, then lunch. We have a long time for lunch. Its cool. And people eat everywhere! I'm so overwhelmed! And I don't even have any homework yet!

After lunch is biology. The teacher is really cool. Then comes history then creative writing. My CW class is scary! The teacher is cool enough but I'm the only freshman. They're all scary juniors and seniors! I think I might be in the wrong class, but its too late to change. Ah well.

I've been digging into my otaku past looking at old sailor moon stuff. Man, I loved that show!! I have the theme song memorized (from 7 years ago!!). *sings quietly* fighting evil by moonlight... winning love by daylight... never running from a real fight... yada yada yada.

And that brings me to the video of the day: Click Here! man that brings me back. I used to go see H-chan every day it was on. We were obsessed fans! I was sailor moon for halloween in 1st grade. Back when I was cute. H-chan was Sailor Mars. Good times.

Edward... the hottie. I love that book. I'm totally not into any kind of fantasy books (except manga..) but I have to say, Twilight etc. was/were fantastic! Can't wait to get my hands on the new one!

French word of the day: betise, f. stupidity, mistake, blunder. Kind of like the adjective bete. For stupid/silly.

Japanese word of the day: soba. Because I love soba. I could eat it every day. Yumm

Ohisashiburi!

It really has been a long time! Thats my Japanese word for today, a ritual phrase meaning 'its been a long time'. I have been in Michigan for quite awhile. We flew out, I went on the boat. It was really nice.

But the highlight, I'd say, was the Traverse City Film Festival (Click Here). The first movie we saw was 'Bridge on the River Kwai'. It was incredible. The screen was immense and it was an experience! The ending to that movie is so strange, its almost predictable but you also don't really expect it (or maybe you just hope it won't turn out that way). Next we got in to a movie called 'A Slim Peace'. We didn't have to pay because we were 15 minutes late. It was a very interesting film about how women in Israel learn about each other and try to overcome their differences. In a weight loss group. I didn't really like it because I didn't see what I learned from it, but it was an interesting idea. The third movie of the day was Paprika (click here) . It was AMAZING!! I loved it! Everything you expect from a cartoon movie is blown away and burned to a crisp. The visuals were unreal and every twist and turn is completely unexpected. It was fantastic. I would highly recommend it. The second day we went to the film festival we started out in the standby line for a showing of two popular shorts. Luckily, we got in. The first short was a spoof called 'West Bank Story'. I swear it is the funniest movie I have ever seen. It was a combo of West Side Story and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Throw in two rival fast food restaurants (Hummus Hut and Kosher King) and some ridiculous song and dance and laugh the whole time. (Click Here) The second short was titled 'Please Vote For Me' and it was about a 3rd Grade class in China that decides to do an experiment with democracy/capitalism. The results are a little shocking. Later that day we saw 'Mon Meilleur Ami (my best friend)' it was excellent as well. The last film we saw was 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' on the beach (free!). It was just wonderful. Can't wait to go back next year.

Okay. Song of today. The one I can't get out of my head (thx DDR..) CLICK HERE that would be GIR from Invader Zim. A.. um... hahahahaha I'm gonna sing the DOOM song now!! Haha I love that show! Don't get addicted, it doesn't pay!! And I'm pissed because I can't get these songs on iTunes. Piece of crap.

Well, I've been doing Field Hockey, and honestly its the hardest thing I've ever done. I hurt everywhere!! Gaa! I almost hope I don't make the team.. Which is in itself a really horrible thought...

I'm having a lot of trouble waiting for the next Fruits Basket book to come out!! I think its soon!!! or not. I just looked it up. NOVEMBER!! GAAA I can't wait that long! *fangirl eyes start to glow evilly*
